So this weekend was Round 2 of the Loudon RoadRacing Series. The first two weekends have been great for me, including 3 Wins, 3 2nds, and a 4th Place finish. There already has been some great racing and I have set a new personal best lap.
Head over to www.saxmanracing.com for the details and my voiceblog.
The bike is home and is 85% race ready! Just needs an oil change and safety wire.
The trailer is packed and the most organized it will be all year!
Starting up the bike today put a much needed smile on my face!
Heading up first thing Friday morning!

Thanks so much to Arcy and Carl for all the work on the bodywork. Special thanks to Pine Motor Parts for all the Paint!
We are going to look great out there on track this year!
James Toseland, MotoGP Racer and World Superbike Champion is also a great musician.
Now he is living the life!
I think Erin is in love with him now though

I'll be using that as a resource for blogging!
Someone had posted about how much different can racing be from a track day ... here was the response from a buddy:
Track days - no inside passing.
Racing - inside, outside.... over, under, through... whatever works.Track days - no passing in "flip-flop" areas.
Racing - WHEN you can, WHEREVER you can.Track days - Oops, blew a turn... oh well. People will slow down & let me come back on the track.
Racing - Oops, blew a turn... now lost 10 places... hope I don't get run over while re-entering the track.Track days - ooh, keep your distance, don't get too close... 6 feet of space minimum!
Racing - What's that? Paint from your bike is on my fairing? What? No, you can't have it back.Track days - "Sorry about that pass, hope I didn't startle you"
Racing - "Sorry I put you in the hospital"Track days - 20 minutes of riding at 80-90% of your ability.
Racing - 8 laps or 15 minutes of riding at no less than about 97% of your ability.Track days - Take a couple laps at the beginning of each session to warm up your tire, body & mind
Racing - Green flag means GO NOW, AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!Track days - Oil filter wired? Check.... ok, good to go.
Racing - OK, wiring... Oil filter? Oil filler cap? radiator cap? front axle pinch bolts? rear axle nut? Caliper bolts? Radiator drain? Oil drain? ... God I hope I pass techetc etc etc... you get the picture
Here we go again!
Less than a month until racing starts! We can pre-register for the weekends Tuesday at 9am! I'll be doing the standard 4 races again this year, but with a minor change to the schedule. Instead of the GT race I will be entering the MWGP, better known as the Dash for Cash. Its as long as the GT race, but costs less. Its the feature race every weekend, and ends up being VERY competitive.
I'm alittle behind on getting the bike ready, but will be ordering everything I need this week. I can't wait to get back on the track again!
Head over to www.saxmanracing.com and www.eck-racing.com for updates through out the season.
